I've actually done a lot of stuff lately, for someone who's supposed to be a college student, working on semester projects and whatnot. Mostly this is because I'm a procrastinator. And to be fair, I did a lot of it over spring break.

Arvin Sloane ([personal profile] crazyunclearvin) started us out with a six word story in [community profile] eclectic_muse, locked from Nadia ([personal profile] thelostdaughter). Most of the others weren't too thrilled to see him out and about, but he did get some comisseration from Marilyn Stark ([personal profile] captain_stark). It transpires that they hang out, and have villains' movie night.

Jack Bristow ([personal profile] spydad) started the inevitible snarking on Sloane's post. He also dropped a bombshell on his former friend.

Raymond Reddington ([personal profile] theskyisred) continued the snarking at Sloane with some threats and another reality check. He and Ethan Blakely bonded over hats and the crazy mean things their mun does to them. Ethan comforted Reddington while the mun wrote angsty fanfic about him. He met Alec Lightwood and the two talked muns and the Hotel California game. He ranted about his mun's ideas and said hi to his favorite FBI agent. He spoke with Matthew Calahan about the worst thing he'd done. (Red is still working on his list.) Matthew was concerned he was the guy with the hat from "Indiana Jones." Red tried to convince Tauriel that love is more than pain. Later they discussed the things he's hiding. The muns decided I need a chart to keep track of all of it. :)

Pansy Parkinson ([personal profile] purelypansy) Not to be outdone, Pansy joined the Sloane-snarking bandwagon.

Nadia Santos ([personal profile] thelostdaughter) responded to Sloane's six word story with one of her own, locked from him.

Penelope Clearwater-Moody ([profile] ravenauor) replied to Nadia, offering to do some damage to Sloane if he bothered her.

Minerva McGonagall ([personal profile] gryffinknight) likewise told Nadia she'd have her back.

Ethan Blakely ([personal profile] aurorblakely) made his DW debut with some concerns about how active his mun has been.

Alastor Moody ([personal profile] constant_vigil) shared Ethan's concerns. They decided to invite Reddington ([personal profile] theskyisred) to join their "it's always Thursday somewhere" poker game.

Marilyn Stark ([personal profile] captain_stark) and Ethan shared some sarcastic banter. Clearly these two are not friends.

Irina Derevko ([personal profile] irina_derevko) also shared Ethan's concerns, to a point. She introduced Moody and Ethan to Reddington.

Severus Snape ([profile] alchemstical), along with apparently everyone else, was concerned about Ethan's concerns. Snape and Ethan discussed the 'Rebellion' universe. Neither like it much.

Lilith Adler ([personal profile] slytherinauror) checked in, and, yes, agreed with Ethan. She was also thinking about selling her house.

Gilad Pellaeon ([personal profile] thelastadmiral) told Ethan he'd be more worried if canon hadn't already done most everything imaginable to him.

Roberta Stanton Pierre ([personal profile] daughterofhaven) joined the headspace gang. She shared stories of her past with Jaina Solo ([personal profile] jaina_solo) and started off snarking at Marilyn Stark ([personal profile] captain_stark) before agreeing to go for drinks at Ryan's.

I think that's everybody... so far. :)

It's a hell of a lot easier to do a pupdate when you've only got one current pup. Which I've actually been thinking about lately, in terms of trying to find something for some of the others to do. Mostly what seems to be calling to me are the scifi muses, the Star Wars and the BSG. There's really not a place for them in [livejournal.com profile] teamarchangel, though part of me wants to fuck with [livejournal.com profile] captainthrace by throwing her in there. "Look, Earth. Welcome the Apocalypse."

But I'm just mean like that sometimes. Ask any of my pups.

And, not that I don't have enough homeless pups, but I'm really tempted to create a Mara Jade (SW) journal, and/or a Helena Cain (BSG). Yeah, because I have so much free time right now and all, to do this. And so much energy.

Right. I do feel like I want to have more than one active character, so I'll probably end up bringing back one of the old pups, or coming up with somebody new after finals.

So. Pupdate. [livejournal.com profile] purelypansy, Pansy Parkinson:

Pansy gets stood up by her sister Amaranth in London and is pretty pissed about it. Intending to console herself with a visit to her old friend and occasional lover, Lucius Malfoy, she hops a plane for Paris. Unfortunately, that plane somehow ends up in Wickenburg, Arizona instead. Pans is less than thrilled about this, and much cussing, mostly involving the words "fucking" and "Arizona", ensues.

Bemused, she learns that Sam and Dean, who once randomly crashed one of her parties by landing their Impala on her lawn, now live in this strange little burg. Sam ([livejournal.com profile] deathwontstopme) takes her back to his place, where she catches up with Sam and Dean ([livejournal.com profile] rocksaltshotgun). They've all been through a lot since that party at Parkinson Manor. Pansy is a little confused to learn that there are multiple Deans and Castiels running around. I don't think she knows about any of the other multiples yet. I threw in a random, if slightly paraphrased, Mummy Returns quote without quite realizing I'd done it till later; "A couple of years ago this would've seemed really strange tome."

She's intrigued by Gabriel ([livejournal.com profile] presidingangel) (Pans: Hello, hotness) and joins the gang in their trip to Alton Towers back in England, where she rides roller coasters with Hiro ([livejournal.com profile] powered_otaku) and muses that it's strange to be back 'home'. She snarks at Zachariah ([livejournal.com profile] im_in_a_meeting) along with everybody else when he shows up at the Winchester-Kane house. I'm looking forward to her reaction when she finds out he was sniffing the laundry.

There's so much to do with a new pup. So many situations to confuse her with, so many new people to meet... This is a different kind of game for me. The last one I played in, my pups knew pretty much everybody, or knew of them, already. Not that they liked all of them, especially if we're talking about Pansy, but.

I feel a little awkward jumping into stuff, like, "Hi, I'm Pansy. New girl. Random houseguest. How's that Apocalypse coming, then?"

It's getting interesting. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Note: I started writing this Wednesday afternoon, March 24th, and ended up having to finish it later. Wednesday I ended up with a migraine, and Thursday... well, Thursday was a long day. I worked on it some more Friday, got distracted over the weekend, and am now hoping to actually get this done today, the 29th. In case anyone, y'know, actually cares when I wrote this thing.

I have a killer headache coming on, which makes writing this now maybe not the best idea I've ever had, but whatever. I've dusted off this mun journal and have started trying to clean up the profile and update the icons and whatnot, because I'm actually *gasp* going to be trying to use it again.

Why, you ask? Because I'm going to start roleplaying again, if I can remember how. It's been a long time, but I think it'll come back to me. I'm going to be playing [livejournal.com profile] purelypansy in [livejournal.com profile] teamarchangel.

I love Pansy. In a lot of ways she's the most fun and unexpected character of mine to have come out of our old Harry Potter game. I remember taking her on kind of as a lark, after her old player- well, it's water under the bridge now. I told Star that I'd change things up a bit, maybe a lot, that I'd take the character in my own direction. As I recall she said something to the tune of, "Good", or "Fine, whatever, have fun." 'Cause she's cool like that. So I did. I went my own way, I had fun.

It's funny, because sometimes Pansy's the one I feel myself having to reach with the most, because we're pretty different. And then once I settle into her voice, it kind of just flows.

Back in the days of the HP game, I'd have told anybody who asked (not that you needed to, back then) that Penny was my favorite of the characters I played. I'm not sure that's true anymore. I love Penny, will always love writing Penny, but sometimes, sometimes she just makes my teeth hurt. And I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just- I gave Penny a lot of shit to cope with from her childhood, and when the HP game started, she was at a point where she was starting to overcome that stuff. Starting to grow up, figure out who she was, what she wanted. I kind of knew where I wanted her to end up- knew exactly where I wanted her to end up ship-wise. I always wanted her to end up happy, because she deserved it, and because writing that stuff, playing it out with my friends back then, was somehow what I needed. It was soothing. When I needed to chill out, calm down, de-stress, there was Penny, falling in love, making a family with her friends, fighting for the things she believed in, helping save the world.

I still go back to that stuff sometimes, to the old game posts and the fic I wrote back then, but it's- I don't want to say that I'm done with Penny, because I'll probably go back to her at some point, but I think she needs to spend, as she has been, some time on the shelf.

I want to do something new, anyway. And while I've played Pansy before, she was always second string to Penny. After a while, everybody was.

And Pansy is... I'm trying to think of how best to describe her, trying to decide what to write for her character information bio for [livejournal.com profile] teamarchangel and it's difficult. I always feel so self-conscious writing the personality stuff, like it's somehow not going to be good enough. I feel the same way about the backstory sometimes. Of course, I have a complex and someday I might even learn to get over it. Today? Not that day.

So, Pans. She started off, of course, the typical almost one-dimensional cardboard cutout in the Harry Potter books, the snobby Slytherin girl who hangs around/hangs all over Draco Malfoy. Boring. As usual I've taken the canon, what little of it there is, and run with it. I think I'll work on the backstory first, even though personality is listed first in the form, because I really think her personality comes from that, from where she's been. Her past doesn't define her, but it's a part of her.

More than anyone, including me, ever wanted to know about Pansy's past )

Okay, so I was right. That helped a lot with figuring out who Pansy is, where she comes from. Now onto the character info. Later, when LJ isn't lagging so damned bad.
